​In March 2024, the Friendship Pasadena Community Development Corporation successfully closed escrow on 626 Prospect Avenue, a permanent community that emphasizes quality, affordable, and community-oriented living.

As the need intensifies, Friendship Pasadena Community Development Corporation is committed to bridging this gap by proactively developing permanent, tenant-focused communities that prioritize affordability, safety, and a sense of belonging. By acquiring properties like 626 Prospect Avenue, FPCDC demonstrates its dedication to creating stable environments where seniors, families, or members of the local workforce—can thrive, participate in community life, and find security for their futures.

This mission not only addresses immediate housing challenges but also fosters long-term resilience and well-being throughout South Pasadena and neighboring areas, ensuring that more individuals have access to dignified living spaces and supportive services as part of a vibrant, inclusive community.

Prospect Avenue has been renovated at a cost of $1.2 million, and a ribbon cutting is scheduled for November 13th at 10:20am at the property.
