As we continue focusing on our community, the January 2025 Eaton Fire caused significant destruction in Altadena and parts of Pasadena, leaving many residents without homes and grappling with financial losses and emotional distress. Numerous community residents are currently facing challenges in finding clear pathways for recovery and rebuilding.

Friendship Pasadena Community Development Corporation (FPCDC) is addressing our immediate community challenge by providing necessary support and offering residents solutions for equitable selling of their properties or rebuilding their homes thereby enabling continued homeownership. The FPCDC Community Land Trust seeks to create homeownership opportunities for moderate-income and workforce families, especially fire survivors, while preserving Altadena’s long-standing generational wealth and culture. FPCDC plans to acquire properties in Altadena and along the SR-710 corridor to develop quality single or multi-family homes for resale.
